Restructured Teacher Pay Systems: What We Know about Their Estimated Effects



In this webinar, Dr. Dan Goldhaber, ProComp Evaluator and Director of the Center for Education Data and Research at the University of Washington, Bothell, drew on research to explain the theory behind restructuring teacher pay and what we know about various pay initiatives (e.g., pay for performance, pay for knowledge and skill, pay for high-need areas). The presentation included research-based arguments for reforming teacher compensation and described different models for restructuring teacher compensation.
